One of JaxParks' most popular camps, this unique aquatics program teaches children ages 12 -15 water safety and rescue techniques. The camp is offered at two location; Hanna Park (Beaches) offers activities for youth ages 12 to 15 and the Cecil Aquatics Center (West Jacksonville) offers activities for youth ages 11 to 14.

The program at Hanna Park teaches participants oceanography and ocean rescue techniques, with activities including paddle boarding, kayaking, beach flags, mind teasers and volleyball. For information, call (904) 745-9630.
The program at the Cecil Aquatics Center emphasis rescue techniques for swimming pool situations, along with activities like water polo and water basketball. For information, call (904) 573-8994.
Junior Lifeguard Camp is offered in three two-week sessions during the summer. All participants must swim 100 yards in under three minutes, go under water for approximately 10 yards and tread water (no hands) for two minutes.
The fee is $150 per two-week session, $25 for Extended Day.
