The JEDC Sports & Entertainment office works closely with local sports franchises. The City of Jacksonville is home to the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars, Minor League baseball Jacksonville Suns,  NHL's Jacksonville Barracudas, ABA expansion team Jacksonville JAM, Jacksonville Axemen and the Jacksonville Dixie Blues, part of the Independant Woman's Football League. (IWFL).
