Animal Care and Control

The Animal Care and Control Division ensures that animals are properly treated and controlled. For many residents, its most important function is to serve as a source for healthy, adoptable pets. The division implements and enforces laws, regulations, codes and procedures concerning the treatment of domesticated animals. It also enforces laws dealing with control of wild animals.

Special Adoption Rates

  • For Everyone
We have an abundance of animals and would like to place many of them as quickly as possible.  All animals may be adopted for 50% off the regular adoption rates!
  • For Seniors Only
Animal Care and Control is currently offering potential pet owners who are 55 years or older a no-cost adoption for senior dogs six years old or older and senior cats three years old or older.
