About the Stormwater Fee
Stormwater Fee

The costs for improving Jacksonville's drainage system and satisfying federal and state requirements for treating stormwater runoff have increased dramatically. Recognizing these increased demands, the City of Jacksonville created a stormwater fee to generate the revenue needed to meet new and existing stormwater requirements and to improve Jacksonville's system, including our greatest asset—the St. Johns River.

The stormwater fee will fund the projects, programs and services of the city's Stormwater Management Utility.

The stormwater fee will be charged to all residential and non-residential developed properties in Jacksonville.

There are opportunities for property owners to receive a fee correction, exemptions, and/or discount.  Visit the Stormwater Fee Adjustments, Exemptions and Credits page for more information.
