About the Solid Waste Fee
Residential Solid Waste Fee

Jacksonville spends more than $42 million annually to collect garbage; that's about $11 per household each month.  The residential solid waste fee will be used solely to fund the collection of household garbage, yard waste and recycling, taking the burden off of the city's general fund.

The solid waste fee will be charged to:

*Single-family detached homes
*Duplexes, Triplexes and Quadplexes
*Townhomes
*Mobile Homes (with less than four on a parcel)

There are limited opportunities to receive a reduction on or exemption from the solid waste fee.  Visit the Solid Waste Fee Adjustments and Exemptions page for more information.
