This is an unpaid volunteer position. Duties will include answering the telephone, taking messages and transferring calls to the appropriate person, providing general information, assisting clients with intake paperwork, and greeting walk-in visitors in the staff receptionist's absence. Clients require courtesy, tact, and effectiveness. Work is performed in Victim Services Center. Must learn the City of Jacksonville's telephone system. Dress Code: casual.

Qualifications:


* Must be dependable for phone coverage.
* Caring and supportive personality.
* Excellent telephone skills and telephone etiquette.
* Excellent interpersonal, listening and communication skills.

This is an on-going assignment for six months or more with hours to be filled from 5 - 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. Volunteers are responsible for their own transportation. Free parking is available.
