Neighborhood Block Captains

This is an unpaid volunteer position. The person in this position is responsible for getting to know everyone on their block. Duties will include distributing and sharing information about Neighborhood Association meetings and other activities, watching out for crime, reporting criminal activity to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, and reporting problems in the neighborhood to the appropriate city department. Block Captains will see that their neighbors needs are met, organize neighborhood clean-ups and other neighborhood activities, and serve as members of a larger Block Captain Association.

Qualifications:

* Interest in improving the neighborhood.
* Ability to communicate effectively Dependable.
* This is an on-going assignment.

Volunteers are responsible for their own transportation
