This data will allow GMO to identify service gaps within the city and quantify the impact of decreases in state and federal funding.
As of October 1, 2007, the City of Jacksonville has identified 63 new and recurring grant programs that it will pursue in fiscal year 2007-2008. These grant applications total more than $57 million in funding requests that will improve our quality of life in Duval County. While the City will not be successful in obtaining every grant it pursues, all of our City Departments and Agencies strive to locate grant programs that will produce the greatest amount of return for the least amount of investment. In fact, 21 of the grant applications that will be tendered this year do not require a local match yet have the potential to bring back more than $23 million in grants in areas such as homeland security, housing assistance, senior programs, and other important quality of life areas.
Data regarding these grants, via charts, tables and graphs, will be reported on this site as it becomes available. Please check back often.
